ICAROUS (Independent Configurable Architecture for Reliable Operations of Unmanned Systems) is NASA’s open-source software architecture for building safety-centric autonomous aircraft, with capabilities like detect-and-avoid, geofencing, and autonomous resolution maneuvers.
- Interned for two summers (2017 and 2018) at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, working on ICAROUS.
- Developed safety-critical avionics software and hardware for intelligent flight management research on unmanned aircraft.
- Soldered a temperature sensor onto a fixed-wing UAV and integrated its live engine temperature readings into in-flight telemetry.
- Led requirements, development, testing, and deployment of a networked application for monitoring real-time air traffic and flight statistics.
